Answer: skeleton provide shape, frame, support and protect the delicate organ inside the body.

2. What are involuntary muscles?

Answer muscles that do not work at our will is called involuntary muscles

3. What is a joint?

Answer: a joint is a place where two bones meet.

4. Mention four function of Skeleton

Answer: 1. it protects the delicate organs inside the body.

3. It provide movement to the body

4. It provides support to the body

5. Explain how the bones are arranged in backbone?

Answer: it is made of 33 small and hollow bones called vertebrae. These bones are arranged over each other and form a tube like structure.

 

 

Differentiate between the following

1. Movable and immovable joints

2. Cardiac muscles and skeletal muscles

Answer: movable joints: joints which are not fixed and these joint have ability to move. For example, joints of elbow and Shoulder

Immovable joints: joints which are all fixed and do not have ability to move. For example, joints of Skull.

 

Cardiac muscle: muscles of heart and they are involuntary muscles.

Skeletal muscles: muscles which work at our will are called skeletal muscles.
